Kiyoshi has been cleaning homes since childhood and went professional in college to help pay the bills. From the beginning, their approach has been people-first—rooted in care, dignity, and emotional attunement. When they launched Baba Homecare in 2018 as a one-person operation, it quickly became clear that there was a deep need for cleaning services that were safe for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC and actively support disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill people.
Drawing from their own experience of creating restful spaces and reclaiming rest for themself, Kiyoshi found that their work resonated with clients seeking to unmask, slow down, and take back their time and energy from grind culture. Their ethos is simple: everyone deserves care, and everyone deserves help.
As a disabled, Autistic, ADHD, queer, transgender, and multiracial person, Kiyoshi brings lived experience navigating 'professional intimacy', learning to honor their personhood and the dignity of those for whom they cared. With over 25 years of cleaning experience, Kiyoshi now serves as Baba Homecare’s administrative operator. They answer emails and texts, keep track of finances, schedule clients, train new employees, and manage concerns with warmth and clarity. Their holistic approach centers compassion, trust, and the belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity—whether they’re receiving care or providing it.
After years of surviving in systems that demanded too much and gave too little, Kiyoshi found a spiritual home in the idea that Rest Is Resistance.* That belief—that rest is not a reward, but a right—infuses every part of their work.
Outside of Baba Homecare, Kiyoshi enjoys cooking for their partner, reading, and spending time outside with their beloved dog Stanley.

Outside of work, Cas loves watching shows and gaming with his partners, cooking, and solving puzzles.
Lorelei (she/her) is a queer, trans, neurodivergent punk with over five years of experience in compassionate customer service and a deep love for getting the details right. She’s passionate about organizing spaces where communities can gather and she brings that same energy and know-how to Baba Homecare, where her skills and positive attitude are celebrated.
Although this is her first professional house cleaning role, Lorelei’s commitment to community care and her focused, thoughtful approach are gifts to anyone striving to create a more restful home. She’s excited to be part of a queer-, trans-, and disabled-owned business that centers human dignity and values open, honest conversation.
In her free time, Lorelei loves all things horror, tabletop role-playing games, cooking cozy meals, and is currently learning the art of nail design.
Danny (she/they) is a queer capricorn, parent, and doula joining Baba Homecare after more than 10 years in the trenches as a full-time parent and homeschool instructor. With a background in doula care, home cleaning services, and customer service, she's blending her range of experience with Baba Homecare's standards of care. It's a winning combination that continues Baba Homecare's mission of quality care for all.
As the second generation in her family to work in domestic service, Danny is familiar with the indignities and mistreatment that home cleaners can suffer. She's glad to be in a workspace that teaches her how to care for her body on the job and values her expertise. She looks forward to providing compassionate, empathetic care to her clients in a way that honors their needs while taking care of her own.
In her free time, Danny is an astrologer (she's very much a Capricorn), a witch and a sewist, and she is working on her doula certification.
