We believe that quality care and fair treatment of workers go hand in hand. Our pricing structure reflects two commitments that guide everything we do:
Community‑centered, high‑quality care for every client
Fair, sustainable wages for neurodivergent, disabled and trans workers in an industry that often undervalues and overworks them
To do this, we offer tiers of service where clients can choose their rates—but it’s a choice of budget, not quality. Every client receives the same compassionate care and quality service. This system is designed to be accessible to diverse needs while ensuring we can sustain equitable pay for our team.
The Pine Tier is our most common and community‑sustaining option. It reflects the true cost of providing stable, ethical wages while keeping services accessible to as many households as possible.
$45 per hour for 1 Homecare Tech
$90 per hour for 2 Homecare Techs
Scheduling: Recurring scheduling available

Loblolly pines are the most common tree in North Carolina, thriving in the naturally acidic soil of this region and growing faster than almost any other native pine. They’re hardy, adaptable, and able to establish themselves quickly. We named our most common tier after the Loblolly Pine because it represents steady growth, resilience, and reliability.
The Mycelium Tier is for clients who want to materially strengthen our mission. Like the mycelial networks that nourish entire ecosystems, this tier supports our mission to expand stability, benefits, and fair wages for disabled and trans cleaners.

Mycelium are the root-like parts of the mushroom, a hidden network essential for an ecosystem. They act as the nervous system of a forest, sending messages between trees and plants and recycling nutrients. Our Mycelium Tier is named for this deeply supportive function that lies below the surface, quietly ensuring the entire forest stays connected and healthy.
At Baba Homecare, we believe that every household deserves access to compassionate, dignified support. The Buttercup Tier exists to keep care accessible for those who need a lower‑cost option.

Buttercups are small, bright wildflowers known for their resilience and ability to thrive in a wide range of conditions. They pop up in unexpected places, adapt easily, and bring a gentle kind of flexibility to the landscape. Our Buttercup Tier, is named for this cheerful, easygoing, and adaptable flower; it's designed to meet people where they are while still keeping our services sustainable.
Pick the tier that aligns with your needs, your budget, and your values. All of them help us build a more just, caring, and accessible cleaning industry.
Every client receives:
The same quality of cleaning
The same compassionate, nonjudgmental presence
The same trauma‑informed, disability‑affirming approach
The same respect for your space, boundaries, and needs
Your tier does not determine how well we clean. It determines how you help us sustain fair wages, ethical labor practices, and a supportive workplace for disabled and trans cleaners.

At Baba Homecare, we are committed to dignified pay for the people doing the work—especially in a field that’s been historically undervalued, underpaid, and invisibilized. All our cleaners make $20-25/hr with a training wage of $18/hr.
Your cleaning fee directly supports:
Fair wages for BIPOC, queer, trans, disabled, and neurodivergent workers
Paid training rooted in accessibility, trauma-informed care, and anti-oppression
A queer- and trans-owned business building sustainable, community-rooted care systems
Sliding scale access for clients facing financial barriers
We believe care work is skilled labor. We price accordingly—and transparently—so everyone involved is treated with respect.
All Homecare Assistants at Baba Homecare are paid a fair wage of $21–27/hr, so no one relies on tips for income. Tipping is always optional, and you’re welcome to add one through any payment method you prefer.
